Science? We don't need no stinking science!

I don't need a physicist to tell me the universe is shrinking.  I witnessed it first hand this weekend.

It started after Saturday's matinee.  A college friend whom I've not seen in probably twelve years was at the show and said hi afterwards--otherwise I wouldn't have known he was there.  He'd come to the show because he's worked with the boyfriend of the only other woman in the cast.  He had no idea I was in it until I came on stage and he thought, 'That Boy looks awfully familiar.'  So he checked the program and sure enough, moi.

The Sunday evening show found [livejournal.com profile] devinam  was there with another theatre friend.  I knew she'd been at WWU with The Constable, but I didn't know she'd also been in Pirates of Penzance with Nym.  And as if that weren't enough, it turns out that Henry V's girlfriend is someone I met about ten years ago when we were both working at The Edge of the World in Edmonds.  We didn't work on the same show, but she was in the production that ran while we were in rehearsal.

So, yeah, your astronomy prof can tell you that the universe is blue shifting, but I have the proof.
