Many do, yes. It's sort of like adding "right?" or "you know?" to the end of a statement. It's an unconscious habit.

Poutine done right is culinary nirvana, IMO, especially late at night with a good pint. :) I was going to say the curds are vital, but with only three ingredients, they're *all* "vital". :-D
