More on the squeeage

Okay.  Having been roundly chastised by [personal profile] vflick ( ::waves at vflick:: ), I'll expand on my previous post. ;)

I heard back from Samhain--you know, the publisher that hosted that contest of which I was one of the winners?  Right.  Them.-- and the editor requested the rest of my novel.  Of course that's no guarantee of a contract, but it's still most exciting!  And it's at least a month earlier than I exepected to hear anything at all.  Whee!  The only downside at the moment is that I now cannot even remotely focus on the story I'm currently writing.  D'oh!  Ah well.  It'll keep for the time being.  If I had more energy I'd be bouncing off the walls.  As it is, it's better this way.  If I was bouncing off the walls I think the cat would have much fear.  And who could blame her?  Certainly not I.

I'm still a bit gobsmacked, but my brain is at least functioning at mostly coherent levels again now.

Hope you're feeling better soon so you can bounce off the walls appropriately.

Oh, and then get to work. ** wink **
