I saw that online a bit ago. Sadness.

This is absolutely tragic for everyone - for his exwife and little daughter, Mathilda, for him being in pain, and for all of us who've lost a talented young actor with a long and brilliant career ahead of him.

I was a huge huge fan of Brokeback Mountain; Annie Proulx said Heath's performance freaked her out, it was so spot-on accurate, as if he'd gone into her head and found things even she didn't know were part of Ennis Del Mar.

tears, just tears...

Oh no! That's just so horrible. So. Horrible. The poor man, what pain he must have been feeling and his poor, poor family.

So here's my question...could it actually have been an accidental overdose? The autopsy results were "inconclusive", but wouldn't they have been able to tell how much of the sleeping pills had metabolized in his body? he wouldn't have burned all of them off if they caused his heart to stop, would they? it seems as if there were a hugely excessive amount of the drugs in his system, then it might have been a purposeful suicide, but if it were normal levels, maybe it really was just an accident?
still makes me sad. I loved watching him. :(

I've also heard that he had been sick recently with pneumonia. That makes an accidental death scenario just that much more likely, I think.

Given that there was no note, no massive OD (easy to find in initial tox screens) and that he had appointments scheduled for that day, I'm thinking this looks more and more like an accident, just one of those horrible things.
