Happy Birthday, Freddie!

Freddie Mercury would've been 62 today had the gods not gotten jealous and taken him from us. To celebrate a life that was too short, here are a couple of my faves of Freddie that you might not have in your collection. The first one, I've just always dug the song and I think Freddie brings something special to it. The second appeals to both the cynical and the perverse in me. Listen to it and you'll understand why. ;) They'll only be up for a week. Enjoy.

The man, more than anything else (except maybe loving) was FEARLESS. The crowd response to him was in large part because of the freedom this fearlessness gave to them. There are a few people I wish I had seen live before they left us, and he's one, definitely. Thanks for making me sad and happy.

Thanks for the vids. The one for Golden Boy was esp. interesting. Where do people find these things? I suppose I shouldn't question, but just be glad they do and they share.

I have found some amazing stuff online, like early 70s clips, old advertisements, lost episodes not yet on DVD, heck, even airline safety films :D not to mention all the European stuff that we never EVER see here. It's a treasure trove.
