Cranberry jell-o salad:  chilling
Sweet potato pie:  baking

mmmm sounds good so far. I'll be heading to the evil twin's tomorrow after work. I'm sure she'll be putting me to work at some point to help with the prep and cooking. :D

I recommend adding orange juice and star anise to the brine. It sounds like you're hosting this year?

They might be going in already. NordicBoy is doing the turkey so I don't actually know. I'll pass along your suggestion, though. Sounds tasty! We are hosting, indeed. Just my folks and my bro for dinner, plus another friend and her folks for dessert. The pie, by the way, looks GORGEOUS! I'm so pleased. :D

My sister's hosting, though on Saturday. I'm making a blackberry and lime-cream pie, as well as a couple of other minor things. Yum, I hope. (I've not made it before.)
