Thank goodness for massage!
Wednesday, I got the BBC Sherlock blu-rays that I ordered last week. Yesterday evening, I went to watch them. ... Blank. Yup. Both discs had the 2|e / BBC intro and then nada. Completely blank. Fail! However, I'd had a (long over-due) massage just yesterday afternoon so instead of breaking something (like the world record for longest string of obscenities), I processed the amazon.com return (I couldn't exchange for whatever reason.), took it to the UPS Store to drop off, and walked over to the big Barnes & Noble where the nice man in the media dept. became my hero by selling me a new blu-ray copy of BBC Sherlock. I was not going to wait for Amazon to ship me another, reordered copy without any guarantee that it would be a better copy than the first one. The discs from B&N a) have different packaging inside, b) have different intro graphics, et al, and most importantly c) WORK. (At least, the first one does, as I watched the first ep last night. I'll be watching the rest over the course of the weekend.) That's right. I'd rather pay full price at a brick-and-mortar store than wait for a second, potentially-just-as-useless-as-the-first-copy new copy.
So, yay me, yay massage, and yay BBC Sherlock!
