Holiday Drabble - 12 Dec 2012

Mickle Melody
BBC Sherlock
Rating: PG
Length: 100
Following up on our holiday mystery of the dead caroller, using a super prompt from [livejournal.com profile] methylviolet10b.
At the end of the month, I’ll gather these and any other series together in single posts for ease of searching/reading.

John left Donovan at the edge of the cordoned area and joined Sherlock at the body. The dead woman’s face told the story of her death, in so much as means were concerned. “How d’you know she’s a carol singer?” This was hardly a neighbourhood for carolling; run-down buildings with broken windows loomed like Bilbo’s trolls in the grey morning gloom.

“Songbook,” answered Lestrade, pointing to a black binder laying at the edge of a frozen puddle, tagged for the police photographer who snapped shots around the scene. “Although there’s neither mickle melody nor mickle mirth to be had here.”
