I heard about that and am said for all the Mariner fans who'll miss him, but it sounds like he and the family will be staying here...so at least that's something, right?

I know, I know, it's not the same as him playing for the M's...but at least he's not leaving the city and community behind.

Jamie and his family are local fixtures now. They've taken such a big interest in and done so much for the community. That's part of what makes me so very angry with Ms Management. This is just more proof of what we already knew: They don't understand that baseball isn't just about winning and pennant races and the World Series. It's about team and community. If the Mariners could be publicly owned, I would so buy a share in them. Isn't that what they did with the Green Bay Packers? I wonder how they did it...
