Rough night
Yeah. Very rough night. Good yet may come of it. Indeed, good already has because donations were great tonight. 'Tis adversity draws folks together.
Now I'm taking my wine and my chocolate tiramisu, and the cat and I are going to watch something funny on DVD.

Some jackass double-booked the park so that while we were trying our damnedest to do Shakespeare--unamplified thankyouverymuch--a few hundred yards away there was an outdoor movie. That wasn't the worst of it though, oh no. Their opening act was a really quite phenomenally bad punk band screaming obscenities (when you could make out any words at all). They sounded like someone had just handed them amplified instruments and said, "Here, make the most horrible noise you can." As DJDougboy (our Talbot/Buckingham) said, they weren't even screaming right. Oh, and then there was the raffle during York's death. ::rolls eyes:: At least the strange French organ music came during the King Lewis scene. It was vaguely appropriate. I hope people who were in our audience call the Parks Department and leave angry messages calling for the firing of the dumbass who did the booking. This was far worse, IMO, than the Indian family reunion we had to deal with last year. I definitely prefer cricket and Bollywood music over that crap last night.
It's okay. One more matinee and we're done. And there won't be any outdoor movies during a matinee.
