My new favourite toy

It's not really a toy, but it might as well be.  It's KIRO 7's second digital subchannel.  You know what they call it?  RTN: Retro Television Network.  That's right.  Yesterday I watch "Quincy, M.E.", "Get Smart", and "Hogan's Heroes".  The other day I saw two episodes of "The Monkees".  Last Saturday night, we caught the end of and episode of "The A-Team" and would you believe it?  It was immediately followed by "Simon & Simon"!  It was like a Tuesday night in the mid-80s. I had to wait up until the end to see if "Remmington Steele" was on after that, but sadly it wasn't.  They even have the occasional Retromercial.  It's FABULOUS!

Do they have Schoolhouse Rock segments in between morning programs? :D

What a cool channel!!! I wish I had that channel. I would love to see some of those shows again!

Oh well - it's probably just as well - with working from home, it would making getting any work done difficult.

Right - but isn't an HDTV also needed in that equation? I think it's going to be a while before I get one of those. My man wants to wait for us to buy a newer tv (like LCD or plasma) until after we have our own how and can have an idea of size. I get that - but I have a feeling, though, that it will end up being a while before that happens. I think we will be doing good if we get our own house in 2009 - he hasn't even put his up for sale yet (pounding head on wall).

Hmmmm.....good to know. I thought you also needed an HDTV in the equation, but maybe it's the tuner I was thinking of. I'll keep it in mind.

My man has no problem with selling his house, he just wants to have it all boxed up first, before he puts it on the market. That's what I don't get. He could have had it on the market for months now. But maybe it is a bit of feet dragging on it. I kind of get it - I have a little misgiving on selling mine. I like being the sole owner on the property. But if we want a better place, we both will need to sell ours.

I hope your friend can get her hubby to sell eventually. While it's nice to have rental property and such, I would think a bigger house would be nicer, especially with a child around.

That's like when KTZZ - Seattle's first UHF station - first went on the air and the majority of their programming seemed to be in black & white. Perry Mason, 77 Sunset Strip, Peter Gunn, and something else even more obscure was the Friday night line-up. Saturdays were, what else, Westerns! Have Gun Will Travel, Rifleman, Maverick, etc. So is anything on RTN in black & white, or is it all in pastels?

Sorry in my world Mork & Mindy top the A-Team all the time. The Monkees come in a close second to Mork & Mindy though. :D
