My new favourite toy

It's not really a toy, but it might as well be.  It's KIRO 7's second digital subchannel.  You know what they call it?  RTN: Retro Television Network.  That's right.  Yesterday I watch "Quincy, M.E.", "Get Smart", and "Hogan's Heroes".  The other day I saw two episodes of "The Monkees".  Last Saturday night, we caught the end of and episode of "The A-Team" and would you believe it?  It was immediately followed by "Simon & Simon"!  It was like a Tuesday night in the mid-80s. I had to wait up until the end to see if "Remmington Steele" was on after that, but sadly it wasn't.  They even have the occasional Retromercial.  It's FABULOUS!

That's like when KTZZ - Seattle's first UHF station - first went on the air and the majority of their programming seemed to be in black & white. Perry Mason, 77 Sunset Strip, Peter Gunn, and something else even more obscure was the Friday night line-up. Saturdays were, what else, Westerns! Have Gun Will Travel, Rifleman, Maverick, etc. So is anything on RTN in black & white, or is it all in pastels?

So far everything I've seen is in color. Oo! I just discovered that "The Fugitive" is on at 2! If it's in B&W, I'll watch, but not if it's in color. David Janssen should never have been filmed in "techincolor"; he just doesn't look right. Oh man! "Love American Style" is on at noon! If I turn on the telly, I'm doomed. I will never accomplish anything again. lol
