It occurs to me...

...that I can jounal about RL, not just fics and fandoms.  That's why I didn't register under my nom de fic in the first place.  That said...

Happy Solstice!  I'm celebrating the day and night by having friends over this evening for nibbly desserty things and some of that Bouteille Call port I mentioned a while ago.  (Have you thought about that?  It's hilarious, I swear.)  I just pulled chocolate chip oatmeal cookies from the oven, and I will shortly slice up the peppercookie dough for its turn in the hot box.  I also picked up a date cake that's wee but dense, which I'll cut up into little bite-sized bits.  And of course there's the requisite bowl of satsumas.  I need to bust out the crockpot for the Wassail Bowl, too.  I think it'll be a fun, laid-back Solstice gathering, and I'm really looking forward to giving people their prezzies!

In ficland, I beta'd a fabu TLW fic by Zakiyah, which I will begin posting for her this evening as soon as she gives me the go-ahead.  It's a belated b-day fic for a friend, and it needs to get sent to her before it goes public.

I also beta'd a steamy, lovely DS fic by jenboo that you can read in her journal today.

Log 2:27 is nearly done,  too.  We just got a few wires crossed sending versions back and forth, so I don't have the latest version beta'd from my editrix.  I'm hoping Fitanna will be able to give it a read-through, too.  I always like seeing what she has to say--even if it's only "OMG!" and "ROFL!"  ;-)
