[livejournal.com profile] methylviolet10b posted this meme, and I thought, 'What the hell?' Here is my Holmesian response. I might do my other two main fandoms later. We shall see. (BTW, all these fics are also available all shiny and pretty over on my website here. The only catch is, you can't comment there should you desire to do so.) Now, on to the memeage!

The story of mine I'd most like others to read:
Story: However Improbable
Summary: Sherlock and John work a case in underground Edinburgh where John meets one of the inhabitants.
Reason: This ghost is real. I've felt his presence and he's not a nice person. So, when the prompt called for genuinely scary, this is where I went.

The story of mine that was easiest to write:
Story: Foxhole
Summary: Sci-fi Crack!Fic starring Lestrade.
Reason: This wrote itself. Seriously. So much so that I was scribbling it by hand on a notepad by my bed in the middle of the night. This almost made the first category above because it didn't get a lot of love during July's Watson's Woes Prompt Challenge (and it didn't help that it went up post LJ-crash), and I really like it, so I want others to like it, too.

The story of mine that was most difficult to write:
Story: Enough
Summary: A PWP Victoran closet smut story written as a follow-up to [livejournal.com profile] methylviolet10b's Doors.
Reason: This wasn't hard to write because it's m/m smut. It was hard to write because of the Victorian voice of Watson. Not my forte, but I think I did pretty well. I leave it to you to judge.

The story of mine that's received the most surprising reaction:
Story: A Misty London Sunday
Summary: Sherlock discovers MST3K. John discovers Sherlock.
Reason: Write one MiSTy fic and the the MiSTies come out of the woodwork. I'm thrilled that this happened! Astonished, but thrilled!

The story of mine of which I'm most proud:
Story: Storm Warning and it's follow-ups (Kindness, Surprises, and Debts)
Summary: A blizzard hits London and John has to get home through it.
Reason: This fic is a different style than I usually write, and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. Also, it leads into three fics that I hadn't anticipated but which involve magical realism, which I love, and I think those turned out really well, too.

Got this from [livejournal.com profile] methylviolet10b :
FAN FICTION MEME: Choose five lines of description/non-dialogue and five lines/exchanges of dialogue from your stories that you consider to be favourites, or that are especially meaningful/important to you. Don't agonise over this: go with your first instincts!

Since I've only posted Holmesian fics on LJ (and since it would take eternities to narrow down a list out of ALL my fanfic), I'm only going to pull from those for the meme. Also, added links since if you've not read the fics, some might be a bit spoilery.

Snurched this quiz from [livejournal.com profile] write_light.

You are the World

Completion, Good Reward.

The World is the final card of the Major Arcana, and as such represents saturnian energies, time, and completion.

The World card pictures a dancer in a Yoni (sometimes made of laurel leaves). The Yoni symbolizes the great Mother, the cervix through which everything is born, and also the doorway to the next life after death. It is indicative of a complete circle. Everything is finally coming together, successfully and at last. You will get that Ph.D. you've been working for years to complete, graduate at long last, marry after a long engagement, or finish that huge project. This card is not for little ends, but for big ones, important ones, ones that come with well earned cheers and acknowledgements. Your hard work, knowledge, wisdom, patience, etc, will absolutely pay-off; you've done everything right.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

monkeybard: (Marvin the Martian)
They had me up until the last word.

you are purple
#800080

Your dominant hues are red and blue. You're confident and like showing people new ideas. You play well with others and can be very influential if you want to be.

Your saturation level is very high - you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too hard but you have a lot to show for it, and it keeps you going. You shouldn't be afraid to lead people, because if you're doing it, it'll be done right.

Your outlook on life can be bright or dark, depending on the situation. You are flexible and see things objectively.

Had too much fun responding to [livejournal.com profile] sunkrux  not to post this myself.  :D

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your LJ and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.

If I came with a warning label, what would it say?

(This should be amusing...)
monkeybard: (bite me)
Nicked this one from [livejournal.com profile] jaunthie .  Feel free to play along if you like.

Cliché Meme - You know it's true. If you write at all, you've probably written at least a few stories that contain one or more clichéd plot devices. Take a minute to copy and paste the list below into your journal. Bold the clichés you have written, and italicize those you've considered writing. If you're into it, add one to the bottom of the list that we missed, but you didn't. If you're really feeling like taking a deep, dark look into your writing history, add comments.

That was amusing, enlightening, and even a little encouraging.

Still, it is a fun and educational meme that I have nicked from [profile] brightbeak   .

Got this from [profile] arden_baird . I think it sums up well how I hope my day goes. I doubt it will, though.
