monkeybard: (thinking hard)

I hope everyone had a lovely New Year's Eve!  Mine was excellent, thanks.  Co-hosted a party with my man-cub (of course) and my bro at my bro's house.  We had it there because we exceeded capacity at our place last year, and his house is rather larger than ours.  Ironically, this year's attendance was smaller and would have been fine here, but I was too sick to do the necessary cleaning a party would have entailed, so it all worked out for the best.  We had a great time seeing friends and enjoying a New Year's Miracle together.  (I won't go into it; you can read about it in [livejournal.com profile] jenboo's lj if you'd like.)  There was much laughter and good food shared by all.  What more could one ask for?

Before the New Year, I'm proud to say I managed to post Log 2:27--the final log of season two of Log Rhythms.  ( ::eep!::  I still need to post that to the EntSTSlash list.  Bad author!  No biscuit!)  But it's up on dnashionalarchive.com and on ff.net, although I won't be using ff.net anymore.  It's just not worth the hassle when I have my own site.

New Year's Day was spent in traditional fashion:  on the sofa watching a marathon on telly.  This year the marathon was Disney's "Phil of the Future".  If you haven't seen it, you should check it out.  It's funny and smart, and the cast they have is outstanding.

I made up for my lazy Saturday by doing some serious un-decorating on Sunday.  I finally boxed up the menorah and the ornaments, and then removed the tree, vacuumed up the oodles of needles it dropped upon its removal, and put back the furniture that had to be moved to make room for the tree.  There are still a few wintery deocrations up, but the holiday detritus is all put away.  It's a good feeling.  Now if only my amazon.com order would arrive, things'd be nearly perfect.  The damned thing has been "out for delivery" since 12:03am 31 Dec., but the box still hasn't appeared on my doorstep.  Most irksome.  I suppose I should cut them some slack, it being post-holiday-madness time, but it's tough when you consider that I could have driven over to the UPS station and back several dozen times by now.  Ah well.  Patience, virtue, blah, blah, blah.

Best wishes to everyone in 2005!

EDITED to say: Okay I posted Log 2:27 to the list. Now I'm going to have a biccy. ;-D
