Patience Rewarded and Fight Call

No, these two things have nothing to do with each other.

First of all, I got my first reveiw on Log 3:2.  It was more than worth the week-long wait.  I shouldn't have complained, because my readers are totally cool people and they never let me down.  I'm just an instant gratification junkie, is all.

That was the patience rewarded bit.  Now for ::drumroll:: Fight Call!  Woo-hoo!

We had our first fight call for Henry V last night.  I was a little nervous because the only fight training I've had is: one stage combat unit in Theatre 402 in college; one quarter of fencing, also in college; and knife training with Mike Mahaffey for Romeo & Juliet three years ago.  But, man, when our fight choreographer handed me that long knife I was all over it!  I have three short fights in the battle at Agincourt, and I get to kill an Englishman in each.  :D  I was also happy to find that, while I'm no expert at stage combat, neither did I suck.  Yay!  I'm looking forward to being all bad-ass.  ::wicked grin::

I need to make it a priority to get some proper stage combat training.  We have excellent resources in this town, and I need to save up the money and avail myself of them.
