monkeybard: (thinking hard)
Why? Because I can!

Had a good show tonight, although for me it was very much a 'night after opening'. My focus was occasionally off. I should never run lines to myself in the car. It's like it uses up the line mojo so when I get on stage they're harder to remember somehow. The audience tonight was nice and large, but they reacted in unexpected ways. (Note to audience: kissing noises are so sixth grade. ::rolls eyes:: ) But when all's said and done, it was still a good performance. I will say that the first kiss in the wooing scene was odd, though. Not so anyone else would notice, but it made me wonder if the King's girlfriend was in the audience and isn't a fan of her man doing stage kisses. I find that hard to believe, though, and I don't think she was there after, so I've got no clue. Perhaps he was just having a 'night after opening', too. Or perhaps he was distracted by the audience making the above mentioned kissing noises. ::rolls eyes again::

I'm thinking that after our matinee tomorrow I'll come back and watch The Tempest. One of the guys in both productions put it beautifully tonight. He said that while he's doing Henry V it's like he's in high school, and then he does Tempest and it's like all he has are building blocks and toys that won't choke him. ROFLMAO!

Tired. Going to sleep now.
