I am not an electrical engineer.
Oct. 24th, 2005 12:06 pmThis should come as a surprise to no one, but there are apparently those who have failed to comprehend it. A vague familiarity with a company's previous projects does not mean I am competent to identify which old projects relate to what potential new projects. Nor does it imply an encyclopedic knowledge (osmosed from the company's wireless network presumably) of all prior projects, who worked on them, when and for whom they were done, or any of that sort of shit!

Oct. 24th, 2005 03:49 pmIt's just that I don't like things being sprung on me without warning. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, and then *POOF* someone throws a blanket over it. grrrrr
I'm also not particularly fond of sitting here all damned day with probably less than two full hours of actual work to do because I'm waiting on other people. I could be home doing the laundry, finishing the repairs to my mask, and writing on Log 3:4. Not to mention playing with the cat. I know, I know. It pays the same whether I have anything to do or not, but the point is that I do have plenty to do--just none of it is here.

Really, I'm not nearly so grouchy as I was before. Honest.
I tried reading a fanfic I'd been saving. It had a great title, but then the author descibed it as a 'soap opera' piece. I tried anyway, but I get so fed up with misunderstandings and people who won't just come out and say what's bothering them. There is no excuse for not talking to someone, in fic or in RL. I've never understood it. "Oh, I'm not talking to him." Well, does he know that? and does he know why? Because unless you tell him why, he can't try to fix it. And on top of that, the scenes that could have been romantic and/or smutty just came across as cheese. I know, the author warned me, but I was that desperate for something to keep my brain from shrivling up that I gave it a look anyway. It wasn't badly written, technically, but it was what the author said it was: 'soap opera'. As such, I turned it off at the second commercial break.
In the words of the vampire Willow Rosenberg, "Bored now."

I felt like taking a quiz again, and in today's mood I am...
