NaNo Update the Seventh

Hungry, want dinner.
Until this evening I'd stuck to three forums on the NaNoWriMo site: Seattle region; Vancouver BC region; and Erotic Fiction. For whatever reason, I popped into the "This Is Going Better Than I'd Hoped" forum. Why not, right? I mean this is going better than I had any right or reason to expect so I went to see what was up. ... I hate this forum. The threads I went into were all word counts and typing speeds. Yeah, people seemed to be supportive and positive, but the whole atmosphere of overachievement sickened my lazy little ass. (Don't tell me I'm not lazy. I am. It's just that I know how to focus when I choose to.)
I hope to go to Zoka for a write-in tomorrow evening, but I might chicken out. We'll see. I spent nearly three hours writing at Honey Bear today, so I know that yes, creativity can flow when I'm sitting on something other than the sofa. ;) I also learned that I have no qualms about writing m/m smut in a public place...as long as my screen size is set to 80%. lol We'll see. I have to get past the love song I need to write first off tomorrow. Ugh. Wish me luck.
