The Folger Shakespeare Library:  Very cool, but would be cooler if you could acutally walk in to where you can see the actually collection of books.  Still, the original 1623 First Folio in the lobby was enough to make me teary-eyed and all heart palpitationy, so maybe it's for the best.  I'd've been on my knees weeping amdist the rest of the collection, I'm certain.

Mount Vernon:  The Virginia one, not the WA one.  Very cool.  We practically got a private tour of the mansion since they were just about to close up.  Sometimes it pays to dawdle in the garden. :)  However, being not a American Revolution buff, but a total French Revolution freak, what made the greatest impresion on me was not the 16-sided barn nor even the sheep, but the ACTUAL KEY TO THE BASTILLE IN A GLASS CASE HANGING ON THE WALL IN THE ENTRYWAY.  I shit you not.  Lafayette gave it to him.  Saved it when he was ordered to destroy the Bastille.  Oh, and in the new muesum there's displayed a carved replica, maybe 2.5' long, of the Bastille CARVED FROM ACTUAL BASTILLE STONES.  And could I take pics of either of these things even without my flash on? NO!  ARGH!

Lovely seeing Sheri & Baer and kitty Ben.  Had ymmy BBQ dinner and Ben&Jerry's for dessert.

Talked to the vet.  Morag has another appointment on Sunday.  Hopefully they can get a urine sample to figure out if she really does have a urinary tract infection.  Whether they figure it out or not, it's penicillin for the feline.  :-(

Must pack.  Way-early flight tomorrow.  I expect to break 50,000 while cruising at about 38,000 feet.  :D
