November's here with a vengeance

Lightning, thunder, hail, rain.  devinam and I are supposedly running in about an hour.  Somehow I doubt we'll go.  It's just too damned nasty out there, IMO, although that could change.  We'll see.

If we're lucky the rain will wash away the leftover grit from when they finished patching the driveway last week.

NaNoWriMo Musings

Okay.  Resolved the Big Scene, now I need to wrap everything up.  Oh, and there must be one more smut scene.  If there isn't the whole balance of smut to plot will be thrown completely off.  But where to start it?  That is the question.  There's going to be a honking chunk of exposition, which I hate to do because it feels like a cheat to me.  But I see no point in drawing out the trial and conviction when it isn't the central point of the story.  ::grr::  Time to go make a bullet pointed list of the remaining Things That Must Occur.

Ugh! Bleh!

Merriam-Webster online had become hideous.  It was lovely yesterday.  It is now inelegant and vile.  I'm so disappointed.

Meeting jaunthie for laptops and lattes tomorrow morning.  I may not make it to any official NaNoWriMo write-ins, but at least she and I can have our own wee write-in.  It's been ages since we've done that.  Should be fun. :D
