Holidayness
Dec. 18th, 2006 11:59 amSo the thing is, I'm not feeling very festive. That is to say, not at all festive. I've had no time to buy prezzies and no money with which to buy them. I know family and friends understand that due to plumbing payments the gifties will be few and small. That's not the point. The point is that I LIKE giving people prezzies and even if I had cash this holiday season I can't think of what to get most people. That's usually only a problem with MonFrere and Papa-san. I actually have ideas for them for once; I just need to get out and get them. Sometimes irony is just annoying. :-P
I did get out boxes of decorations last night, and NordicBoy promised to stay out of the basement (his current and very good and useful project) to help me put them up this evening. We're even ordering pizza so we don't have to take time out to cook and clean up from cooking. Maybe I'll put in the Rankin-Bass DVDs, too. Or at least some cheery music. I hope to feel more festive after that.
