Progress report on my writing projects:

Log 3:8 - Underway.  I have about three solid scenes written and a really good idea of where this one is going to go.  (Thanks, [personal profile] jaunthie!)

Short Story - (Title withheld because I'm not yet convinced that it doesn't suck.)  Edits in progress and I told my two betas the date that I plan to submit it so they'd know how much time they have left to send me feedback.  (Thanks K-bob and [profile] jenboo!)

NaNoWriMo Novel (aka NaNovel) - Big edits and additions in progress--chapter breaks and everything! ;)  I'm incorporating K-bob's and [personal profile] jaunthie's feedback now.  I don't think [profile] jenboowill have time to get to this draft, but when I have the second draft done I'll send to all three of them again.

Do my betas know how much I appreciate their help, support, feedback, etc.?  I certainly hope so because I couldn't do this without them.  How much do I love my betas?

THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS MUCH!  :D  *smooch*

What the hell are they thinking?!

This is beyond wrong, wrong, WRONG!  You do not fuck with Brideshead Revisited without calling down

The Wrath of MONKEYBARD!  I snarl and spit at you!  ::grrr! ptui!::

Without this novel (which at last count I had at least two or three paperbacks and a hardcover of) and the mini-series (which I had on vid off of KCTS (before cable, thankyouverymuch) until I got the DVDs last spring) I would not have surived middle school.  Seriously!  Blessed be Evelyn Waugh for giving me Sebastian Flyte and Charles Ryder and Aloysius the teddy bear.  Blessed be Anthony Andrews and Jeremy Irons and Simon Jones and Diana Quick and Nickolas Grace (OMG, NICKOLAS GRACE!!), and, and, and... for making every character as alive as they could possibly be.

Fie, fie! on thee Julian Jarrold, Jeremy Brock, Andrew Davies, and your lengthy list of producers!  FIE ON YOU ALL!  A POX ON YOUR CRUDE AND UNCOUTH SOULS!

I knew I should've loaded something onto my thumb drive before leaving the house this morning.  Now I'm stuck looking for every fiddly little thing I can do on this project while I wait for 1 to 4 pages of text to finish it.  It's not entirely unproductive, but neither is it the best use of my time overall.  ::sigh::  And when I can't find something else to do, I read about the Virginia Tech shootings this morning.  Ugh.  Note to all the crazy and armed people out there:  If you're thinking about killing other people and then killing yourself, skip step one and go directly to step two.
