Weekend update and quiz
Oct. 15th, 2007 01:43 pmFirst, the quiz, nicked from
jaunthie.
That's about right. I used to be a dedicated reader, but somehow that's fallen off over the past few years. It's rather distressing, actually.
Now, the weekend update:
I made ravioli on Saturday. Not the pasta itself; I used fresh lasagna sheets from the store, but I made a filling of roasted butternut squash, grated myzithra cheese, and fresh sage. The leftover filling got turned into gnocchi with the addtion of a little AP flour. I don't know if it's good (although, come on, with those ingredients you can hardly go wrong) since we haven't eatend any of them yet, but I'll let you know when we do. Best bit is that I got to use the ricer and gnocchi roller I got from my favourite curmudgeon last X-mas.
My new word for the weekend is "squibbley": adj. The texture of one's fingertips after inadvertently grating them on a fine-gauge cheese grater.
