A day off - sort of
Nov. 13th, 2007 11:46 amI didn't do any writing for NaNoWriMo or anything else yesterday. Partly because I was already covered for my personal word count goal through yesterday. Partly because it was an odd off-kilter day. I was woken by the kitty at about 5:45, which would have been fine if my brain had gone back to sleep, which it didn't until nearly 7. Then Her Kittyness woke me again at 7:15. NOT NICE. So, yeah, off-kilter all day long. I did get to hang out with
jenboo and N while jenboo made yummy pumpkin bread. And Z&I came over, too, and crashed some cars (videogame-style, never fear). And that was all cool and fun, but as a result I didn't get my usual Monday stuff done, which left me dissatisfied with my accomplishments for the day--despite having gone running with
devinam in the morning. Then I had rehearsal at 7:00, which was fine, but the theatre was so cold when we got there (and stayed that way until nearly 9:00) that I got a tension headache from trying to get warm. Bleh.
So. No NaNo yesterday. I'm raring to go today, but there are people insulating my house at the moment. Why do these home improvement things have to happen in November? At least this is one day rather than the week of plumbing work we had done last November. ::sigh:: I'm tired and this is all making me a bit whingy and cranky. People need to leave so I can accomplish something. At least I finally got the laundry basically done; I can't fold the last load until they're out of the house and out of the way.
Oh, and did I mention the GreenStage work party this weekend which is scheduled but not yet announced to people who might come help? Yeah. Working on that. ::grr::
At least I got caught up on The Next Iron Chef last night. Yay! I can watch Food Network without the fear of the ending being spoiled. :)
