Weekend Update

So my 20-year high school reunion was this Saturday and I must say I had a very good time.  It was great to chat with friends whom I've only seen randomly and rarely over the past twenty years.  It was cool to see some of the people I've not seen at all in that time (I admit freely that there were others about whom I couldn't care less, hence my usage of the word "some".).  Found out one old friend is in music down in Oregon--playing bass, just like my bro.  Found out that one guy's younger brother (also an old friend) is now an elementary school teacher.  I also found that the old cliques weren't completely broken down.  Not that I expected them to be and not that I helped more than the smallest bit, myself.  Still, I did chat with people who weren't close friends back then, and it was fun.  I also won the prize for "Most Unusual Job".  I wasn't listening, but when luthien-t heard the call for that category, she propelled me through the crowd to the front.  No one cared to challenge for the dubious honour when they learned that I've been published in the genre of gay erotic fantasy romance, or what I affectionately call gay smut.  ;-)  That was pretty funny.  The poor MC had to ask twice what it was I did.  Sorry, TL, you were always a good guy and I never meant to put you on the spot like that. LOL!

XD OMG that's too funny. Congrats to you! Did you get a plaque? A certificate at least?

No one I know from high school is on LJ :( but perhaps that's for the best, or else they'd see MY gay smut.
