Sleepless nights

monkeybardSunday night I slept really badly. Everytime I fell asleep, I dreamed something bizarre, and then woke up immediately after. I don't think I got past REM-sleep until about six in the morning. Ugh.
Last night I gave up trying to sleep at about 12:15. I just got up and sat on the sofa reading my book until I finally started to yawn at about 3:00a.m.
I blame the heat we've had lately. It sucks. Damn sun. I also blame Mars. Yeah, it's astrological bullshit, but I'm really quite tied to my ruling planet, and the bastard is closer to Earth this month than it's been in I don't know how many millenia. Well, there's nothing to be done about Mars. At least it's overcast so far today, so that should help tonight. I want rain. Not on a performance day/evening, but today or tomorrow would be a great day for a rain storm. I'd just feel so much better all around.
