Why I hate people and parking lots

monkeybardMy week is insane. Did I mention that my week is insane? I was hoping for a quiet week with the man-cub out of town, but instead my week is insane. It was made more insane yesterday--an insanity that will carry over to next Wednesday, assuming that all goes well.
My car has been in four collisions in its short life. Three of those took place in parking lots while the car wasn't moving, and two of those times it was actually parked in a space. The most recent time--that would be the yesterday I mentioned earlier--the car wasn't even occupied. That's right. My poor invisible car was parked alone, not another car within 50 yards, when it was the victim of a hit-and-run in a high school parking lot.
Tomorrow, instead of going to the Tiffany exhibit at SAM, I get to drive over to Sammamish yet again (21 miles and a 40-60 minute drive each way in reasonable traffic) so I can file a report with the very nice police officer who works at the school. I will also take pictures of where I was parked, just because. I took pics of the damage today before going to the body shop for an estimate. (Just under $1400, btw, which the insurance company will apparently pay in full, thank all the little gods--but not the ones that should have been watching over my car. Those little gods can kiss my car's "sand drift"-coloured ass.)
My week is insane. It's lucky I was already planning to meet the Monkeys for drinks to celebrate Kasima's birthday. Unfortunately the pub only has Guinness in a can. I informed the waitress that this was a crime against humanity, and ordered a Moose Drool. Good, but not Guinness.
