My friend Pam came to play today. :D She drove up from V.Beach to DC - braving Wednesday traffic and three accidents (she wasn't in them, they just slowed her down) to spend the afternoon poking about in Georgetown with me. I found the perfect 1940s dress for my house's b-day party/New Year's Eve, but I did not buy it. :( Even with 10% off, $225 is just too freaking much when you've just had your house's plumbing completely redone. I did, however, find a spiffy b-day prezzy for Kasima (Happy B-day, Kasima!) whilst we were out, and Pam found some fabu books at this amazing little used bookstore. It was an awsome, if too brief, afternoon.
Then I got carry out Thai from the place downstairs. Yummy pad thai. Even yummier tom ka gai! Mm-mm!
Tomorrow NordicBoy and I are going to find Sticky Fingers Bakery and then go to the Museum of the American Indian. Oh! It's Malaysian food for dinner tomorrow. Yum!
