Hamstrung by my own rules

SciFi Channel is having a Battlestar Galactica chain reaction today.  I've been wanting the DVDs of the whole series since they were released.  I had just decided, moments ago, that dammit I was going to buy them today.  Only then did I remember it's within 30 days of my birthday.  My own rules say one mustn't buy oneself prezzies within 30 days of one's birthday.  ::sigh::  Want BSG DVDs.  ::pout::  Will wait.
