We opened Richard III last night.  I think I only got four new mosquito bites.  I'm coming to the conclusion that it is only tonic water that contains high fructose corn syrup that keeps the fucking bugs off me.  The stuff I got at Whole Foods has none of the extremely-bad-for-you-HFCS, but it isn't doing the job I'm drinking it to do.  ::grr!::  I'm gonna get me a six-pack o' Canada Dry because this has got to stop.

Oh.  Right.  The show.

I blew my one rhymed couplet.  D'oh!
I missed out "long usurped royalty".  D'oh!

Clarence's death kicked major ass. :D
My Stanley cozzie is way too awsome for words.
No one missed an entrance.
The audience seemed to enjoy it; they certainly donated enough cash to suggest that they did.
No one got out-of-control dangerous in the fights, which can happen when the opening night adrenaline is flowing.
All in all, I'd say it went well.

YAY! Congrats on a good opening!! FiTanna and I will certainly come to see a show after the move is over.

I have a book for you from N...she actually has many other books for you, but I thought I might see you before she did, so I brought Affinity home with me. Perhaps we can make a trade...keys for book.

And now I'm off to download Jimothy to my PDA so I can work on it! :o)

What's this about tonic water keeping bugs off? Please, my left leg begs you, tell me more. I made a homemade bug spray out of witch hazel, and essential oils of lemon, eucalyptus and lavender. It works ok, but the left knee.

we're going down in flames. We open thursday, and last night two people weren't at rehearsals, we didn't run the fights, one got cut because it wasn't choreographed yet, and two people still had script in hand. The only people solidly off book were me and the other person added at the two week mark to replace dropped actors. *sigh*

break legs and wish me a miracle. You're running longer than I, so I might get to it at some point.

Tonic water. Drink it in large quantities. Saturate thy blood with quinine. Mosquitos don't like it. I wasn't saturated enough, and they got me in spades, but now that I'm building it up in my system I'm getting far fewer new bites and theY're all going away quicker.

I'm actually seeing them more this year, so maybe they are bigger. I'm not sure. They certainly are more plentiful. Bleh!

I'd love it if you could make it down for a day trip! It'd be great to see you! I need to get up north this fall. I'm hoping maybe a mid-week visit in mid-September. ::crossing fingers::

YAY you!!! Getting mentioned in the paper. I reread it after I got off the phone with you and it is a possitive review - when you start from a paragraph up, rather than just the one sentence. It is so cool!!!
