Windows Messenger completely f*ed up?

Hey, flist-

Does anyone use Windows Messenger? and if you do has it worked more than one day out of the last seven?  Seriously.  It automatically logs in and immediately crashes.  I send the error report, which has thus far proved fruitless.  Or I click the "Debug" button and nothing happens.  Nothing.  Anyone else having this problem?  Is it just me?  (Somehow I doubt it.)  Any insight or information would be most welcome.

It's really getting on my last nerve. The lack of any automated response to the reporting of the problem says to me that either MS can't figure it out or MS doesn't give a shit. Neither of which would surprise me. ::grr!::

I've just installed their new version of Windows Updates and am now installing the 14 updates that it found. Never mind that two days ago when I told it to search for updates if found NADA, ZIP, ZILCH. ::double grr!::
