No.  Not a phobia of the number itself.  It's just that I just learned that Madeleine L'Engle passed away.  So...

We're doomed to lose another person very soon who created beautiful and amazing things.  (Okay, I'm not a fan of Pavarotti the Man, but Pavarotti the Tenor? Wow!)  I have a horrible suspicion of who it will be.  I desperately, desperately hope I am wrong.

Yeah. They always come in threes. Which makes me wonder... WA lost (if you call it that) a well-known crazy Republican last week, and I saw today that we lost the state's carnivore specialist. :( I hate it, but I wonder which big Washingtonian will go next. This is a helluva September, eh? Damn.

Jane Wyman just passed away at 93. :( I saw that on another board and did a google on her and a telly station in NYC has pronounced it. I'm waiting for the big networks to start announcing it.

Actually, we already did. The former state Democratic party leader died a week before the Republican one. Both women, both first of their gender to lead their parties in the state. Go fig.

She did?! Must've happened/been reported while I was out of town. Usually I see at least the front page of the paper, and that would've been on page one. And again, now I can stop wondering. Let's hope we're done for a while, eh?
