Book BIN

A good friend of mine posts a Book BIN (Buy It Now) on her blog every Tuesday.  As luck would have it, I read a new book today and I think folks should Buy It Now.  It's even an ebook so it won't collect dust or take up space on you bookshelves.  (Both of these are problems for me because I'm allergic to dustmites and I have very limited shelf space.  But I digress.)

Lessons in Love by Kate Davies

Anyone who knows me knows I am not a romance genre reader.  I find the obligatory "black moment" irritating at best and I don't have to have a Happily Ever After in order to find a book satisfying.  Kate Davies is the exception to my anti-romance rule.  She even manages to keep this particular fairytale of a romance from becoming either trite or sappy.  How she does this when there's a handsome prince, a nanny, and a five-year-old daughter is beyond me, but she does.  I will not fall to the siren call of Romance, but I will happily fall to the siren call of a Kate Davies story, and so should you.  This one is sweet, steamy, and actually made me ::giggle, snort:: out loud.  And it's het, fer cryin' out loud!  What has become of me?  Reading het-smut.  Gods help me.  What will people say?  ::shakes head::

Whatever they say is irrelevant, as long as they all hie themselves to My Bookstore and More and Buy It Now!

This one is a category length, so under 50,000 words. I read it in an afternoon. I like this length of story. It's like a meal you can take your time over but still finish in a sitting without feeling stuffed. But what I wouldn't give for a PADD. ::sigh::
