Grammar emergency!

Yes, there is such a thing as a grammar emergency. :-P

Lead (pronounedl leed) - present tense
Led ( prounoued led, just like it looks) - past tense

Therefore: he led the project;  analyses led to identifcation...

Am I wrong or am I right?  I've honestly confused myself here and I need someone to help me out.  So, help!

Yes, that's correct. unless they're talking about the heavy metal, then it's another thing altogether. ;)
