Once again you have a chance to make your opinion know.  Hop over to TRS's Studio Diva contest.  You know what to do when you get there.  I looked at all the entries and admit I found four of them to be appropriate responses to this latest challenge, but I think we all know who I voted for. ;)

I swear, this one gave me conniptions. How do you make your response sound different than any other "thanks for writing" response? And not make it an obvious promo push?

I'm just thrilled I made it to round three. I've gotten several new sign-ups for my newsletter out of it, so that's nice. :)

Right there is the problem I had with many of the responses. The person already said she likes your work so don't go cramming more of it down her throat. An invitation to a yahoo group is fine, but know the limits of politeness. One shouldn't reply to a short email with a freakin' novella.

And of course I immediately dismissed every response that failed to address the reader in a greeting. WTF? Just because it's email doesn't mean you shouldn't stick to the niceties of written correspondence! So people gots no class, I tell yez!
