monkeybard: (Got Monkey?)
So Friday - Mostly ordinary to start with.  Went into NordicBoy's office for a few hours in the afternoon.  Was feeling rather blue that evening for a variety of wildly diverse reasons - one of which I'm sure was a bit of NaNoWriMo withdrawl.  You work that hard and focus that much on something and you're bound to have a bit of a let down at the end.  At any rate, NordicBoy cheered me up by a surprise trip to the movies.  We saw Happy Feet, which I recommend highly.  (There was a Harry Potter preview, too.  :) )  The only down side was that it was a 9:10pm showing, and I had to get up early on...

Saturday - Went to the final dress for Billy Shakespeare's Christmas Extravaganza... even though the Monkeys weren't scheduled or required to be there.  Despite rising at 7:30 on a Saturday morning (UGH!) I'm very glad I was there to finalilze/clarify/sort out a few details.  The first run was really rough, the second much better.  Of course it didn't help that some props had gone missing and the light cues had been erased.  (Thanksohsomuch, mainstageshow.  ::rolls eyes:: )  It's going to be a good, fun show.

That evening [info]jenboo and I went to dinner at the Crepe Cafe since she'd not been there before and I am never averse to a visit.  Yummy!  Then we strolled up the hill to Third Place Pub for a pint and a port.  (It was lively and pleasant, I'm happy to report.  I want it to do well.)  We had a lovely, lovely evening just chatting and hanging out.  It was splendid!  I don't get to do that often enough with any of my friends, you know?  So it was awsome to hook up with her for the evening.

Sunday - Walked down to U-Village with [info]jaunthie around noon.  Nice stroll, got the one thing I needed at Bartell's, had a latte and coffee cake at one of the three Starbucks  ( ::rolls eyes again:: )  It was very nice, indeed, to get to chat with her.  We stopped into an open house on our way down.  Lovely house, really well cared for, and (for the neighbourhood) reasonably priced.  It's fun to check out open houses.  It's like having permission to snoop. ;)

Pretty soon I need to get ready to go to the theatre.  Opening night tonight, and I have to pick up Kasima and Epona at 6:00.  Fortunately it's a short show, so I'll be home in time to watch most of The Prisoner of Azkaban on ABC Family.  Not that I can't watch it on DVD, but they're showing behind-the-scenes snippets from Order of the Phoenix.  :D
