What is it with this week and bacteria!?

Two friends are in hospital right now--one with pneumonia and one with an evil, antibioitic-resistant bacterial infection.  Not good, not good.  To those of you who take antibiotics when they don't need them or who take them but don't take the full course of them as precribed: fuck you.  And fuck the makers of antibacterial soap.  You are why bacteria are growing stronger every day.

And now that I've spewed the necessary venom, I'll get back to being worried about my friends.

Windows Messenger completely f*ed up?

Hey, flist-

Does anyone use Windows Messenger? and if you do has it worked more than one day out of the last seven?  Seriously.  It automatically logs in and immediately crashes.  I send the error report, which has thus far proved fruitless.  Or I click the "Debug" button and nothing happens.  Nothing.  Anyone else having this problem?  Is it just me?  (Somehow I doubt it.)  Any insight or information would be most welcome.
