monkeybard: (Daniel-coffee)
I updated the printed out emails I have from and to my publisher.  In this way, I pretend that I am actually doing something forward-moving.  Now I will finish catching up on emails and get to work on the climactic scene in my latest novel.  That will be genuinely forward-moving. :)

I'm back at my computer and trying to get back to the mode I was in when I left it.  Wish me luck.  It's an uphill battle, but as long as it isn't sisyphean, it'll be okay.

That's right. Her Highness is home from the vet.  ;)  Her paw is stained with dried blood, but that's okay.  We have to give her antibiotics twice a day for a week, but that's okay.  We have to use shredded newspaper for kitty litter for the next week, but that's okay--well, I think it is; the kitty's jury is still out on that.  She has to stay indoors for the next two weeks, but that's okay--not good, but okay.  She's asleep on my lap right now and while I know I complain about her sometimes, I do so love Her Snuggliness!  And besides, I have valerian, so I should be able to sleep no matter what happens tonight. ;D  It worked wonders on Wednesday night.  She woke me up every two hours looking for food, but I went right back to sleep each time until 6am when she was too hungry to be lulled.  Yay, valerian!

In other news, I wrote about 2500 words today in spite of friendly interruptions. ;)  We're on our way towards the climax now, baby!

Let's see.  What else?  NordicBoy made a super, simple, tasty dinner tonight of flank steak, asparagus, and fingerling potatoes.  Oh can a glass of cab sauv.  Yum!  I think I'll soon ask him to bring me some coconut-walnut-banana bread  withn peanut butter on it for dessert.  Extra yum!
