Nostalgic for Edinburgh

A friend is soon going to Edinburgh on her honeymoon and asked for recommedations of places to stay, things to do. So I sent her this ridiculously long email, complete with links, of all this fabu stuff to do and places to eat the B&B that NordicBoy and I love.  And now I'm wishing I could go back again VERY SOON.  I want to do all the stuff we did last year and I want to do all the stuff we didn't get to do last year.  I want to eat in the yummy places we ate in and stay at the fabu b&b...  ::sigh::

Emma Rocks!

Saw this on miera_c's LJ and had to link to it, too.  First, I'm still offended to the core of my being that Miramax is trying to remake "Brideshead Revisited" - may their soulless bodies feed many buzzards.  All that aside, the cast certainly sounds excellent with Emma Thompson and Michael Gambon in it.  (Never mind they are not the main characters of the novel.)  So... Yay, Emma Thompson for putting her foot down to protect an fellow actress from the Hollywood "Ideal" of emaciated heroines who one can't look at without wanting to feed them all cheeseburgers and milkshakes and fries with tartar sauce.

Can you tell that I don't have any writing that needs doing today?  That's the down side of having finished the first draft of the latest novel.  It needs to sit for a bit before I can go back and start editing it.  Instead, I can't seem to stop blogging for more than a few hours at a time.  ::rolls eyes::
