Callbacks tonight!

Whee! So I know I hit my last note sharp or flat or whatever; we'll just say it was off-key. I knew it. They knew it. Nothing was said of it. I was nervous and we all moved on. They then lowered the song by a third. (Apparently there's a switch on the synth that will do that. Cool, no?) And I sang most of it again. And then they lowered it another whole step and had me throw a cockney accent on top of it. The auditors made happy sounds at that point. In the end, they gave me a page with four lines of a song, alto part, to familiarize myself with by tonight's callback.
Oh, and
lemurkitten and I plan to carpool again. :)
Now I need to go dig my character shoes out of the basement. We're starting the callbacks with dance. ... First time in my freakin' life I've felt good about that idea. LOL.

Date: 2008-08-01 06:24 pm (UTC)I didn't suck at the dancing; I got most of the choreography the second time the group I was in did it on our own.
I didn't suck at the singing;
I read reasonably well, but not great, IMO; I went first, so hopefully the director cut me a little slack as it was *after* I read that he told us to direct it to the first four rows. At least I know I got the accent right. ;)
Honestly, I went in just hoping I could get chorus and now they've gone and gotten my hopes up, damn them. lol I'll post when I have some solid information, whatever it turns out to be.
