MS Word, you are made of stupid and fail.

Can anyone explain to me why, all of a sudden and for no apparent reason, Word thinks that when I want to format a small block of highlighted text that I, in fact, want to format THE WHOLE FUCKING DOCUMENT?  It is wasting so much of my time that I feel I would be better served by going across the lake and dropping a nuclear bomb on Microsoft.  At least I would feel as though I had at last accomplished something for the good of humankind.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  POX ON THEE!

It's just such a bizarre new quirk to have discovered. At least it seems only to be an issue with one particular file. I don't know what the person who created the file did, but pox on them for doing it. Fortunately, it is minutes away from no longer being my problem. Yay!
