The least creative audience in the history of musical theatre voted Jasper the murderer tonight.  Worse yet, we let them!  I say "we".  Really it isn't "we".  It's the person who tallies the votes and who was instructed by the director early on to do this should the situation occur.  The director is so beyond wrong and I dearly love our vote tallier, but he should have taken matters into his own hands and gone with the second highest vote-getter.  Of course, that would have been the second MOST OBVIOUS CHOICE, but still!  I was trying hard to sell him tonight and all my efforts went to naught because the audience was less inspired than a Doc Savage novel.

Gah!

In all fairness to the audience, their combined age went back to the flood.  Maybe they just wanted to get home to bed.  And yet, still, GAH!

Anyone but JASPER! Although, you'd do the other two female candidates a favour if you could get Puffer chosen. So far she's been one of the lovers every night. (Again, can you say "no creativity"?) If she's the murderer, she can't one of the lovers. (Frankly, I want Helena and Jasper as the lovers. They have the best dialogue.)

Unless of course there's someone else's confession you really want to hear. Just not Jasper. He gets to sing a lot already. I think that's why Helena's been the murderer twice and Datcher once already: people want to hear her sing more.

Yay for tomorrow! Now I know I have someone who it's safe to mess with before the show. ;)
