We're fine, thanks!

Sorry folks freaked out.  I've been having issues with my left eye for a week.  Really red.  Tender.  Twinging when I changed focus too quickly.  Yesteray it was a little better but there was a new smudgey spot.  I'd planned to call the GH consulting nurse anyway, so I did.  She said, "That sounds like it could be a detached retina. Go to Urgent Care now."  So NordicBoy and I grabbed books and sweaters (it's always cold in Emergency/Urgent Care) and headed up.  Long story short:  not a retina problem.  Some sort of infection and inflamation.  I now have antibiotic and anti-inflamatory eye drops for my left eye and a follow-up appt. for next Tuesday?  Anyone want to drive me?  I suspect they'll dilate my eyes again, and driving home today was challenging.  I'd rather not do that again. ;-P

I'm glad it's nothing too serious and I'm glad you finally got it looked at. I hope the antibiotics help.

Thanks. That eye is definitely feeling better. Of course the other one is jealous of all the attention and is demanding saline drops for fairness' sake.

That would be cool, if it doesn't tear you away from work for too long. You're the closest, assuming jaunthie wasn't already planning to work from home that day. Or even if you could drop me off, I could call you or lemurkitten when I was done? I am also, of course, hoping it doesn't take as long as it did yesterday.

ooooh...wait...tuesday, is nov 11? that's Veterans Day, we have a holiday. so I won't be in the neighborhood...I'm still happy to drive you if no one else can, but i won't already be up here...
