Political FYI
Jun. 29th, 2006 11:16 am"In March, Stevens waded into Cantwell's re-election campaign against Republican challenger Mike McGavick.
Stevens announced the withdrawal of his controversial bill that would allow more oil tankers in the Puget Sound. Then, in an artfully staged press briefing, his eyes twinkling, Stevens credited McGavick for convincing him to drop the legislation and lauded the challenger for his gentility.
McGavick says he appreciates the support, which included a recent fundraiser for him hosted by Stevens in Anchorage."

If you live in Washington and you vote for McGavick, DO NOT TELL ME...EVER. I'm not a very forgiving person, you see. I can't and won't forgive the people who voted for Dub-yah. I can't and won't forgive anyone who has ever voted against equal marriage rights for same-sex couples. I can't and won't forgive anyone who voted for Tim Eyman's bullshit $30 license tab initiative. I may still love you, even if you did any of these things, but I will not forgive and I will not forget. Got it? Good.
And go right now to your own Senator's home page and tell them to support Internet Neutrality if they want to keep their jobs at the next election. Maria Cantwell even has a ready-made form on her site. Fill it out. That is, if you want to keep the internet free and open to everyone, no matter what the big businesses want to say about it.
