Finally a show I want to watch!
Sep. 30th, 2009 05:16 pmNow don't get me wrong. I love "Psych" and "Monk", and there are three or four gems on Disney Channel, but frankly television is shit these days. (I will not forgive those who took away "Life", cursed be they all.) But now I have "Glee". It is fricking hilarious! Are the plots simple? Yes. Sometimes too easily solved? Yes. Are the characters closer to charicatures at times? Yes! Is it in many ways completely ridiculous? Absolutely! Must you have your schadenfreude on to watch it? Hell yeah! So why do I love this show? Because of all those things. It's musical theatre, people, masquerading as prime time television. At last, I am the target audience of something that I actually like. It's...refreshing. Looking forward to seeing Kristin Chenoweth in the lastest ep. Will she be as funny as Josh Groban? I somehow suspect so.

Jane Lynch as the cheerleading coach: "You think this is hard? Try waterboarding. That's hard!" Bwahahahaha! I think Sanafi is right that at times they just put her on camera and let her riff. I mean, why not? We all know how great she is at it, right? Who didn't find her hilarious in Best in Show?
The only character I could really do without is Terri Schuester. The actress is great, but I want to shoot the character in the head as it could only make her smarter and less selfish. But again--musical theatre, charicature. And if they got rid of her, there'd be no obstacle keeping Will and Emma apart, and where would be their incredible cuteness then?
Thank gods for Hulu so I could watch all four eps in two days so I'm all caught up for when tonight's goes online tomorrow. (D'you follow that? ;-) ) I'll be watching Part 4 of Ken Burns's new series on the National Parks when "Glee" airs tonight, so of course I needs must watch it online tomorrow. I *heart* the intarwebs. :-D
