Cleaning "house"

"House" being my hard drive, of course.  See, I've been trying (since fate gave me a kick in the ass disguised as a friendly reminder) to finish up an unfinished fanfic before NaNo starts tomorrow.  Now had I done this in a timely fashion, I would have many ideas of how I want to wrap it up.  Indeed I had many great ideas (from my own brain and from that of one of my fabu betas ::waves at jaunthie:: )--HAD being the operative word.  I've lost track of most of them.  Possibly all of them.  I know there were 2 or 3 scenes left that I needed to write.  Well I've written two scenes and yet I don't feel I'm all that much closer to being finished.  Gah!  And I told myself I couldn't open the new shoes that arrived yesterday until this was done.  Smeg! 

Okay, I just needed a break to whinge and whine about my own incompetence.  We now return to your regularly scheduled day.

Oh.  And I still don't have a plot for NaNo.  At least I know who my MMC is now though, and I'm happy to announce it's not the a*hole I thought was the MMC.  Of course, I think my genre has changed, and this makes me sad.  We'll see...  We'll see.  First there's this f*ing fic to finish.  NOW.

I got new shoes yesterday, too! and the irony? the running shoes I ordered, the whole reason I bought the other 3 pairs because I had to get running shoes? were backordered, and now are out of stock so that part of the order is canceled. sheesh. but i like my other ones, though. The Franco Sarto are a lighter brown than I thought, which is ok, I guess, the picture was a dark brown, and they're definitely taupe/light brown. and a smidge big, but since they only had whole sizes, i'm glad i didnt' go a size down. the Clarks are a smidge small, but not in length, in "aroundness". not exactly width. they're mules, and if i don't wear socks, they fit. but i think they're real leather, so if i get a shoe stretcher, i should be able to stretch the top so i can wear socks or at least hose with them.

and i bought the Franco Sarto bag to go with the shoes. it's SO cute! that's the last time i succumb to fashion. :| ;)

oh, and the clarks are SOOOOO comfy! squishy soles that feel like pillows. LOVE it!

What can one say but "D'oh!"? I still haven't opened my box. ::sigh:: I want to, and I'm so close, but I'm just not sure how to wrap this f*ing fic up.
