I'm watching The National on CBC. The bombings in London are horrible, but that's not what brought me near to tears. I expect humans to behave badly, and the worst behaved and most cowardly are terrorists (followd closely by Dubyah). What gets me verklempt is the people walking home. Just walking home. Whether it's a few miles or all the way across London. They're walking. This to me is what life is--simply facing events and dealing in whatever way necessary. In this case, that means walking hours and miles home. They're just doing it because it needs to be done.
